The tweener – One who doesn’t fall in any category of people

Knowing what to ask – The existentialist in me wants to localize the question of choice to a particular frame, but which? Wikipedia uses aResilience process when titles of articles need resolving: disambiguation. So too this post is my attempt to think and write to, at least, explain the conflicts that I sense occurring in my roles and tones I’ve adopted. Your role, should you chose, is to assess this subjective narrative as a collaborator partner both in my personal awareness of past and present “chapters” and in my action steps toward building a preferred way of being in future “chapters”.

This approach reaches beyond my role as worker and occupational decision making into more sensitive and personal regions of being. I have to admit that I have used this Blog for this type of exploration almost exclusively.

The take away I receive from this is continuing thought work and language constructs to use and provide meaning to what I use. If any thing, I want to build a life development practice – Changed Life Ltd. What I’ve learned from such authors as Seth Godin, Guy Kawaski, Chris Anderson, and Darrin McMahon about the tenor of current fulfillment in commercial creative enterprise and innovative models of commerce is that they’re intent has to come from meaning not profit. Meaning’s of these type are expressed in mantras, lenses, long tails, stories and evangelistic out breaks of new types not yet with names.

One of the fundamental feature’s of personal development is captured at moments of conflict and tension – in a nutshell that’s where I am NOW. I’m in constant tension. Each day the only joy I get is to see something go as planned and to play Spider Solitary – my statistics are only 50/50 doing this.

So I feel entitled to speak with authority about resilience. I have to struggle each day to find a source.

Life Roles:
• Want-to-be intellectual
• Family adviser
• Entrepreneur
Social analyst
• Geek

Tone: the attitudes toward the subject and toward the audience
• Searching in parallel
• Witnessing
• Maximizing
• Organizing
• Affuencing (evangelistic early adopter)

The nouns and verbs of my life are at war with my life – I’ve taken the “Real Age” online survey and it comes back with – “Stop Kidding Around”.

We’ve reached the point when you should speak up – “are you with me” so said Riddick. Tell me where I should take this.

About Reputationist

When I started this blog in 2007 the following is what I was up to - things have changed - some. I'm what my handle states - an Oldude. The problem with this acknowledgment is my thinking and ambitions have not quite got the message of my "oldness". I've started an online Coaching practice and my rant is about how to improve long term happiness - For the World. My thing, I believe I can change the world - isn't that a hoot. The way I intend to change the world is to foster a wider and deeper appreciation for "mindfulness": The daring, flair and grace of Jayz; the political savvy of Cornel West; the creativity of Mos Def with the business and cultural daring of Richard Simmons. I've thought enough - being a philosopher of sorts - and trained hard with some of the sharpest minds ever on the planet - Cornel West and Michel Foucault to know the total absurdity of trying to change the world - but I do and I will. There it is showing my age again.
